Built in 1796, the Montauk Point Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in New York State and the fourth oldest operating lighthouse in the United States. Located on the eastern tip of Long Island, the lighthouse is graced with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. With this piece, I tried to capture the warm colors of the setting sun that bathe the lighthouse and the vegetation below. This warmth is further accentuated by the color gradient of the sky, radiating in the backdrop. . .
