About

The sea, the ocean, the waves rising,
breaking and crashing on the shore
and the movement of the water
as it ebbs on the sandy beach:
this is what I try to capture in my seascapes.
In order to accomplish this I allow the painting to
take on a life of its own by turning the color loose to
mingle and float freely over the surface of the paper.
The results are “landscapes of the sea”,
the ocean used as a means of artistic expression.

Painting with various watermedia on a very smooth paper,
I begin a painting by choosing colors that interest me at the moment. The mixture of intensity of paint application,
water movement, and even the weather highly
influence the direction and final outcome of the painting. The result is a completely unique painting.

Originally from Michigan, I have lived and worked as a professional artist in both Florida and Georgia for the past 24 years. My art has been published in books and magazines, received awards, and exhibited in Museums with many prestigious Watercolor Societies. The Georgia Watercolor Society has awarded me the degree of Signature Membership and my art is internationally collected. Please visit my website for a full biography
