Maoual’s work mixes etching, sculpture and painting. Mainly based on anachronism and humour, it questions the endless course of mankind and the suffering caused by the obsession of our ceaseless wanderings. Joy and disappointment, feast and tragedy can be seen through fugitive figures amidst a swarm of signs and all that is concentrated in a plastic form which mingles Prehistory and our contemporary era.
