This painting tries to portray sufferings of women that are as deep and as startling as the ocean under the night sky. In particular, this work tries to bring out what women undergo in this society when they embark upon their journey of love. It speaks of how the magnificence and grandeur of it all, pierces into her soul and is gradually hushed by stillness and solitude.

The title "Workshop at night" may seem suggestive enough. And yet... at night a workshop can be seen and felt only by the artist himself. The presence of any other person destroys the nocturnal presence of the Workshop itself, who claims then for all reality to obey. In the present study there is a powerful balance of the masses, but as soon as we stop to look at the portrait of the artist, the entire workshop seems to drain, its disappearance being imminent. The linework does not describe the interior but identifies with it, does not highlight characters but unveils them, does not create atmosphere but clears the day-time memories.
